Coming soon: MultiPortal 1.1.0

We are delighted to announce the upcoming version 1.1.0 release of MultiPortal, which includes a ton of new features and improvements coming to the platform.

Proxmox v9 Support

Those of you that have upgraded to Proxmox version 9 would have noticed that MultiPortal remains functional, but lacked support for Affinity Rules when using a HA cluster architecture that wasn’t previously supported.

This update introduces full support for utilizing Proxmox v9 Affinity Rules when using a cluster based Proxmox architecture.

External Directory Integrations

One of our most requested features is finally arriving. The next release includes support for both SAML and LDAP(s) protocols, with an intuitive interface that enables staff and customers to authenticate via your existing directory.

SAML and LDAP Configuration

The integration includes attribute mapping and JIT (Just-In-Time) authentication for automatic account creation when users authenticate for the first time.

Community Edition Limitations

Starting with version 1.1.0, we are introducing some limitations to the Community Edition license:

  • Maximum 2 resellers allowed
  • Each reseller limited to 5 tenants maximum
  • Each tenant supports 1 concurrent VDC maximum
  • Each VDC supports maximum 10 concurrent virtual machines

These constraints do not apply to paid editions.

Two-Factor Authentication

Native TOTP support is being added for accounts using the local user database. This allows users to authenticate via popular applications such as Authy and Google Authenticator.

CloudInit Improvements

Building on version 1.0.9’s initial CloudInit disk support, version 1.1.0 adds the ability to configure network interfaces automatically.

Additional Improvements

Along with the major features above, we’ve also included a number of bug fixes and enhancements:

  • Improved VM loading times and pagination
  • Optimized VM importing from Proxmox
  • Expanded API methods
  • Updated dashboard interface
  • Usage statistics refinements
